- Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with our website through analytics and advertising tools (see "Analytics and Tracking" below).

We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your orders
- Deliver purchased products and provide customer support
- Send you important information about your purchase
- Send marketing communications about related products and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Measure our advertising and show relevant advertisements, including through advertising audiences (see "Advertising Audiences" below)

Legal Basis for Processing
Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: To process your order, deliver your products, give you access to the members' area, send you information about your purchase, and provide customer support.
- Legitimate interests: To send customers marketing emails about related products, to measure and improve our website and advertising, and to prevent fraud and resolve payment disputes. You can object to any of these at any time, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails with one click.
- Consent: Where you sign up to our mailing list, and where the law requires consent for cookies or similar tracking technologies.
- Legal obligation: To keep the accounting and tax records that Danish law requires.
Email Marketing
When you make a purchase, your name and email address are added to our mailing list, which is managed through GetResponse. We may send you:
- Product delivery and access information
- Important updates about your purchase
- Marketing emails about related products and offers
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by contacting us directly.
Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party services to operate our business:
- WarriorPlus: Our sales platform that facilitates transactions and tracks affiliate referrals. WarriorPlus has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
- Stripe and PayPal: Secure payment processors that handle payments made through WarriorPlus. Your payment information is processed directly by these services and is subject to their respective privacy policies.
- Paddle: For some products, Paddle is our reseller and Merchant of Record. It processes the payment, sales tax, and invoice, and has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
- GetResponse: Our email marketing platform where subscriber data is stored and marketing emails are sent.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): Our advertising platform, used to measure advertising performance and show relevant advertisements (see "Analytics and Tracking" and "Advertising Audiences" below). Meta has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
- Bunny.net: Our video hosting provider. When you open a page with an embedded video, your browser connects to its video player, which receives your IP address and basic browser information (such as browser type and device) and may set cookies. Bunny.net has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
- Google Fonts: Many of our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. When you open one of these pages, your browser requests the fonts from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information. Google has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
International Data Transfers
Some of the service providers listed above are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), mainly in the United States, or may store data there. When your personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on a European Commission adequacy decision (for example, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified companies, or the decision covering the United Kingdom) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards, or for a copy of them, using the contact details below.
Analytics and Tracking
We use the following analytics and tracking tools:
- Vercel Web Analytics: Used on thecopyviking.com and the members' area to count page views and understand aggregate usage, such as pages visited, device type, browser, and country. It is cookieless, does not collect or store personal data such as your IP address, and does not track individual visitors across sites.
- Google Analytics: To understand how visitors interact with our website, including pages visited, time spent on site, and general demographic information. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information anonymously.
- Meta Pixel: The Meta Pixel operates on our website to measure visits, advertising performance, and conversions, and to help deliver relevant advertising on Facebook and Instagram. It may collect information about your browsing behavior on our website.
- GetResponse Website Tracking: Some of our pages use GetResponse's tracking script to record page visits. If you arrive from one of our emails, these visits may be linked to your subscriber record so we can send you more relevant emails. It uses cookies to recognize returning visitors.
- WarriorPlus Tracking: Standard affiliate tracking cookies to attribute sales to referring affiliates.
Advertising Audiences
We may use limited customer information, such as your name and email address, with advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to create customer audiences, exclude existing customers from certain advertising, show relevant advertisements, and reach audiences with similar interests. This information is protected using Meta's hashing process before it is used for audience matching. You may object to this use of your information at any time by contacting us.
Cookies
Our website and the third-party services we use may place cookies on your device. These are small text files that help us:
- Remember your preferences
- Understand how you use our site
- Track affiliate referrals
- Measure advertising and deliver relevant advertising
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website and checkout process.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide you with our products and services
- Comply with legal and accounting requirements
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your information from our active systems, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data (subject to certain exceptions).
- Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your data for marketing purposes, including its use in advertising audiences.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
- Right to Complain: You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Denmark, this is Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Agency), datatilsynet.dk. You can also complain to the authority in the EEA country where you live or work.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our website and products are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Members' Area
The sections below apply specifically to the members' area at members.thecopyviking.com (the website where you log in to access your products, training, downloads, and community). They describe how the members' area itself handles your data, in addition to everything above.
How You Sign In
The members' area uses passwordless "magic link" sign-in. We do not store a password for your account. When you log in, we send a one-time link to your email address; clicking it signs you in. Your email address is held by our authentication provider (Supabase) and is used only to sign you in and to send account-related messages.
What We Store in the Members' Area
We deliberately keep the members' area privacy-first. Inside it we store:
- Your email address (held by our authentication provider, for sign-in)
- A random account identifier that is not linked to your real-world identity
- A username and display name that you choose
- Your activity in the members' area: products and bonuses you own, training progress, points, badges, bookmarks, and community posts
We do not store your real name, postal address, phone number, or payment details in the members' area.
Access Logging (Dispute & Fraud Evidence)
To protect against payment disputes and fraud, the members' area keeps a record of when a logged-in member accesses paid content they own. This record exists for one reason only: so that, if a purchase is disputed or charged back, we can demonstrate that the content was in fact delivered and accessed.
What this record contains:
- Your account identifier (the random ID described above); your email address is not stored in this record
- The type of activity (viewing a training module, opening a download page, or downloading a file)
- Which item was accessed
- The date it happened
- The IP address your device used for that access (added September 2026; earlier entries have none)
We do not record your device details or any location beyond what the IP address itself implies, and the log is collapsed to at most one entry per item per day, so it keeps the IP address of the first time you opened that item on a given day. This information is never used for marketing, advertising, or profiling. It is kept for approximately seven months, long enough to cover payment-dispute windows, and is then automatically deleted. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and resolving disputes.
