That is not AI writing. That is writing. The "minimum unit of social acknowledgment" line... a human writer would be proud of that sentence. And the system produces this quality consistently, chapter after chapter, from beginning to end.
Here is another passage. Same novel. This is where the investigation finds the thing that was buried in the paperwork.
The reclassification addendum had been filed correctly. The documentation supported the conclusion it reached. The sources were appropriate to island procedure: the principal, the deacon, a family member with community standing, a counsellor summary two years deep. Each of them had spoken to adults, in the language adults use when managing an uncomfortable situation through the institutional channels they know. The picture was coherent, complete, and contained, in four hundred and twelve words, no record of anyone asking the girl what she knew.
Read that last line again. "...in four hundred and twelve words, no record of anyone asking the girl what she knew."
